Q. What is PipeSwipe™

A. PipeSwipe™ is a patented, semi-rigid pipe cleaner tool that mechanically cleans the inside of marijuana pipes, one-hitters, and bongs by pushing out and removing the resin. 

Q. How does PipeSwipe™ work? 

A. The PipeSwipe™ pipe tool is a 3 ½ inch semi-rigid stem with ridges and grooves to maximally remove THC resin. A tab is attached to one end for easy handling when pushing the tool through the pipe stem. The tab can also be used to clean the inside of the bowl. 

Q. Can the PipeSwipe™ remove both warm or cold resin.

A. The PipeSwipe™ is effective at removing both warm, gooey resin and the cold, hardened, solid resin. If the resin has cooled and become hard, it is no problem to remove. Gently heat the outside of the pipe stem until it is warm. This softens the resin adherent to the inside wall of the pipe, allowing the PipeSwipe™ to mobilize and push out the resin.  

Q. Is PipeSwipe™ reusable?

A. The pipe cleaners can be reused. An isopropyl alcohol pad is the best way to remove resin from the pipe cleaner stem. A paper towel is an alternative. A paper towel wet with isopropyl alcohol will work as well.        

Q. Why did you invent the PipeSwipe™ pipe cleaner?

A. The traditional pipe cleaner made from flexible wire and bristles was designed to remove dry ash produced by smoked tobacco. It was not designed to remove warm or cool THC resin produced from smoked marijuana. Pipe Swipe™ can easily remove both warm, gooey THC or cold, hard THC inside the pipe stem. The grooves in the stem allow for maximal removal of resin within the pipe lumen and on the pipe stem walls. It is semi-rigid so that is has enough flexibility to negotiate some curves. 

Q. Why is it important to keep THC pipes clean?

A. Excessive THC resin in a pipe stem creates several problems. Excessive THC buildup within the pipe makes it difficult to draw. It may even occlude it completely, making it unusable. Excessive THC build up within the pipe also creates a ‘harsh’ toke that irritates the throat and respiratory system, leading to coughing and sometimes bronchitis. Keeping your pipes and bongs clean will reduce respiratory tract irritation and produce a more pleasurable smoking experience. 

Q. Why is the PipeSwipe™ better than a traditional pipe cleaner?

A. The stem of the PipeSwipe™ device is engineered with intricate grooves that allow for maximum resin removal. The rough grooves on the stem also allow one to scrape and remove resin buildup on the inside walls of the pipe stem. Unlike traditional pipe cleaners, there are no ‘fuzzies’ left behind inside the pipe stem. There is no chemical residue. 

Q. What are some of the other benefits of using PipeSwipe™? 

A. PipeSwipe™ does not use any chemicals to clean the inside of the pipe. It is simple, clean mechanical removal without any remaining toxic residue to inhale when smoking afterwards. The tab on the end allows the user to easily grasp the cleaner and use it without getting resin on the fingers. 

Directions for Using the Pipeswipe™ pipe stem cleaner

• The PipeSwipe™ stem cleaner is effective at cleaning pipes, bongs, and one-hitters.

• Hold the PipeSwipe™ pipe cleaner by the square tab with your thumb and index finger in one hand and the one-hitter in the other hand.

• For the first pass it is recommended that the stem of the PipeSwipe™ be introduce into the ‘inhaling end’ of the pipe and pushed out through the ‘lit end’. 

• Wipe off the pipe cleaner stem with paper towel or isopropyl alcohol pad and repeat from same direction or the other direct until the inside of one-hitter is clean.
